Today is a day to celebrate mom for all of her sacrifices, her lost sleep, her unconditional love and all of the blessings that she has afforded each and every one of us from the time we were born until eternity. I not only celebrate my mom on this day but also my wife. Today is her first Mother's Day. She never expected to have a little boy in her arms this Mother's Day but we are blessed that she does. I will never be able to truly imagine the emotions that she feels on this day but I am forever grateful for her strength and love that has guided Carter through his fight. She is an amazing wife and mother!
Carter is doing well today. He took a full bottle this morning at 9 a.m. and we are going to try to another at noon. After a brief little photo session for Mother's Day Katie put him back in his crib for some rest so that he can be ready for his next feed. He did gain 2 ounces last night and is now 6 pounds 3 ounces. Here are a couple more pictures from this morning.
